About MFS Electronic Projects

MFS Electronic projects (Pty) Ltd has a vast background. It was the vision of two directors in late 1988 to enter the market and provide fire and security solutions with excellent service and thus Meteor Fire & Security (Pty) Ltd was established. In 1997 the Meteor Group of companies was amalgamated into a listed group. In late 1999, both directors envisioned the opportunity to once again provide excellent fire and security solutions with a more direct involvement in company dealings and thus established MFS Electronic Projects (Pty) Ltd.

Our Company Has Three Major Divisions:

FIRE SYSTEMS DIVISION:
Under this division our major role is to focus on Fire Risk. Currently the division has two internal divisions these being projects and service divisions respectively. The projects division will be responsible for the design, installation and commissioning of new systems to expansions on various systems. The service division is responsible for maintaining current fire systems, recommending system modifications to reduce risk and issuing certification on correct functionality of these systems. These systems utilize a main control panel and are primarily monitored with smoke detectors through the building to identify any potential fire hazards emitting smoke. Therefore we categorize this type of system as early warning.

EMERGENCY VOICE EVACUATION  DIVISION:
Under this division our major role is to focus on evacuation of the premises due to an incident. This division prides itself on voice clarity to ensure the entire building is evacuated efficiently. These systems can be linked to the fire system and be completely automated during an incident. All systems are designed by our engineers around SANS standards to ensure correct sound levels and installation techniques through out the protected area. We believe that voice evacuation is a necessity when it comes to the safety of people in work environments. We pride our systems around saving lives.

GAS SUPPRESSION DIVISION:
Under this division our major role is to focus on Fire Risk in a specialized area. In this area we mainly focus on data/server rooms, archive rooms or any areas deemed to be high risk to fire. These areas are protected with a fire system linked to a gas suppression system. This entire process is automated during and fire incident in the protected area.
This type of system is designed and engineered by ourselves.
